Event Description:
Effective performance management is vital to the success of leading and growing an organization's human capital.  We all know we need to document, but are you aware that good documentation may prevent lawsuits while bad documentation may cause lawsuits? Participants in this course will get practical experience writing warnings and creating documentation that will protect both them and their organization’s best interests. You also will be provided with effective methods of applying discipline and the keys for handling terminations, whether due to a reduction in workforce, disciplinary action or any other reason.

This workshop offers tools and strategies for Human Resource Professionals for increasing personal documentation skills for educating and engaging supervisors, managers and leaders on effective documentation, setting clear performance expectations and objectives.  Activities include practice writing clear, objective and specific records of performance.

Facilitated and taught by Michelle Peard, SPHR, PHRca, SHRM-SCP
