Event Description:
This course is designed for human resource professionals who are new to the field, management personnel with HR responsibilities, small-business owners, and line managers or supervisors who desire to obtain a more thorough understanding of the critical aspects of HR.
Participants will learn to:
- Summarize major employment laws influencing personnel decisions
- Design effective interviewing and hiring strategies
- Review personnel files and retention guidelines
- Define required employee benefits and identify who pays for them
- Determine whether your independent contractors are really independent
This course has been pre-approved for California credits toward PHR-CA and SPHR-CA
